“A Grand in the Stands” Scholarship Giveaway
NMSU Students Can Win $1,000 Just for Attending Aggie Games!
Full-time NMSU undergraduate and graduate students (on any campus: Las Cruces, DACC, Alamogordo, Grants, and NMSU Global) in good standing have a chance to win a $1,000 scholarship just by attending athletic events! In the 2026–2027 academic year, NMSU Alumni will award a total of nine “Grand in the Stands” scholarships.
Come cheer for our fabulous Aggies and score a scholarship if your name is drawn!
HOW TO PARTICIPATE
- Come to the Game
Check the schedule for Grand in the Stands basketball, soccer, and volleyball games. - Sign Up Early!
Visit the Grand in the Stands registration table before the game starts. You will need to provide your:
– Name
– Aggie ID
– Phone number
You’ve got until halftime to get your name in the drawing! - Stay in Your Seat
At halftime, listen for the announcement. You must be present to win. If your name is called…
Claim Your Grand!
Head onto the court or field to accept your prize and come one step closer to taking a bite out of your tuition bill!

Not sure if you qualify? Just swing by the Grand in the Stands registration table at any participating game — we’ll be happy to help!
Who is Eligible
- Full-time undergraduate students enrolled at any NMSU campus and DACC (enrolled in 12 or more credits)
- Graduate students enrolled in 9 or more credits
- NMSU Global students (enrolled in 12 or more credits undergraduate, 9 or more credits graduate)
- Students must be in good academic standing
Who is Not Eligible
- Part-time undergraduates
- Students not in good standing
- Certain athletic scholarship recipients (eligibility rules apply)
